Lecture 18th March – Prof. Orestis Karamanlis

On Thursday 18th March 2021 from 3pm to 4:30pm  it will be held the lecture by Prof. Orestis Karamanlis (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) .

“Composing and Performing Mixed Electronic Works”

Upon completing a PhD in electroacoustic composition Orestis has been active in composing new music and lecturing in the academia. Currently a scholar at the University of Athens and a visiting fellow at Bournemouth University, he has produced a diverse body of sound-art and new media work which is frequently performed in concert venues and urban spaces. Lecture of Prof. La Camera at the Media Campus Dieburg (Germany)

On 26/05/2020, Prof. Francesco La Camera will give a lesson at the “Live Film Music” course of the Media Campus Dieburg associated with the Hochschule University of Applied Sciences in Darmstad. The course is held by prof. Carsten Kümmel, German Sound Designer of European music productions including The World of Hans Zimmer and BBC Planet Earth. The lesson will be entitled: “Balance Sound Engineer in the Live show – from Classical Ensembles to Bocelli” and will take place in WebMeeting mode, from 5.00 pm. The lecture will focus on some aspects of the professional and work experience of the speaker. The lesson is organized as a form of collaboration and exchange between colleagues (as Sound Engineers and Teachers) and Istitutions, therefore all students of the Master in Sonic Arts are invited to participate. For those interested in getting to know better prof. Kümmel, in the month of June he will return with a lesson that will take place at a date yet to be fixed. Anyone interested in attending the lecture can give confirmation with an email to prof.
